Launched at the dawn of the new millennium and of a new technological century, which many believe would be the most unique period in the life of our planet, CMES aims to celebrate the key role that this discipline is certain to play in all the foreseeable technological revolution. This archival journal will publish only papers of the highest intrinsic scientifi c merit, which are expected to have a lasting impact on the evolution of this discipline. The unique role of CMES is to publish seminal works on advances in computer modeling in engineering, especially at the interfaces of engineering with the sciences. Seamless multi-spatial-temporal-scale modeling of phenomena in engineering & the sciences is a primary focus of CMES.
